Many of our women friends have now become nomads and are often on the road. As such, am always on a search for gifts to enhance travel as these are now most welcome for any get-together or celebration. Hey Malone, it’s possible to add lathing to the sides of the camper for either log like exterior or board covering to be used. It depends on what the exterior walls consist of. I have been craving one last weekend spent outdoors before it gets too cold to leave the warmth of my apartment.
Though I’m a bit prejudiced, I think you’ll be fascinated by the adventures of this divorced ex-mom. And I believe it will cause you to choose an apartment over a hotel room for your own next trip … Read more
I am beyond excited and truly honored to share that I was chosen as the Grand Prize winner for EPIK’s annual video competition! As anyone who has visited this lens before knows, it will be centuries before all of humanity gets war out of its collective conscious. As a subset of humanity, we IGT folk don’t have the patience to wait centuries until the rest of the human race grows up and matures out of the juvenile need to kill. We could get vaporized or infected with some super-Ebola in the meantime. We want to leave war and crime behind by finding uninhabited unclaimed galaxies to colonize. And we want to do this yesterday.
Hi Gray. We paid for the transport for Angus in the plane as overweight luggage for 250 € and 50 Pesos in NAIA to the BAI office when we arrived. It was 2011 and maybe it is higher now. I think it would be better now to buy a local or imported dog from a well taken care dogs in the Philippines. Just buy from a reputable seller who are not maltreating their pets. My friend in Negros bought a golden retriever there and it was … Read more
People travel for many reasons – for education, curiosity, to help others, to have adventures, and to some places to get healthier. Any type of travel is likely to be ruined, though, if contaminated water leads to intestinal problems, as happens with 20-50% of travellers per year (Wikipedia). You can prevent that possibility by packing a portable water filter of some kind. The versatility of this trailer is apparent when you can pull your camper with your car, yet take your motorcycle or golf cart with you as well. Temperatures in the Caribbean during November are usually comfortable for just about any island destination. If you enjoyed something I wrote and want to say thanks, donate some pennies (however many pennies you like) with Penny Pledge!
Oh, the link is TOTALLY UN-REFERENCED – totally. Oh, and if you can find anything about a book named Falun Gong – that has a reference to this story — you are a better man than I. Whether they can still get good deals on flights to Russia I don’t know as I did not call them for this Hub (however, I will be checking with them next summer when Bella and I will … Read more
Summer’s a wonderful time when people escape from the every day world and take a trip to new destinations, fresh scenes and experiences. These days, travelers find themselves loaded down with several different electronic gadgets to help them stay informed, entertained and in touch while on the road. Each gizmo has its own carrying case, attachments and wires which makes packing a nightmare. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was one small gadget a traveler could use for all their entertainment, tasks, and communication needs? Look no further—such a gizmo does exist. The device is called the iPod iTouch, by Apple. I had decided to use spray primer where possible (everywhere but the vinyl wallboard which I felt was too close to too many of the other non-paint surfaces such as the ceiling and windows. For masking tape I like the green Frog Tape. More expensive but worth it in my experience. I also used plastic and cloth drop cloths over the rug and seating and paper to cover windows and other elements. This took about another 2 hours.
While in St. George there are many attractions for all types of visitors. Whether you love to golf or just relax … Read more
I may look like I’m posing, but I’m really trying to get into the fetal position and not faint. The rooms were surprisingly well designed, though relatively small, which is to be expected. With space at a premium, every little bit is utilised. Instead of a wardrobe, hangers are placed by the big mirror, with small shelving underneath. There’s a mirror over the headboard which gives the illusion of space, and the window is large enough to fill the room with light. I liked the red, black and white colour scheme, too.
Always work with the travel agent or travel website that specializes in your travel destination or region. For example, if you need to fly from the US to Europe, search for ‘flights to Europe’ or so. Usually online search will give you best results. Check several websites or call several travel agents and compare the deals.
I did check the Internet and verified that, as expected, ATM machines were relatively plentiful in Moscow where I was scheduled to land and assumed we would visit. My search also revealed that there were two ATM machines in Ryazan where Bella lived and where I expected to spend most of my … Read more
Let me introduce the three stars of this story. From left to right: Louie (The Toothpick) Cujo, Sassy(The Diva) Sassafras and Crazy Boy Champ (The Chewin’ Chihuahua). Louie and Champ are three years old and experiencing their first road trip ever. Sassy is 13 years old and a world traveler who belongs to my travel buddy, Martha. This would be the first time traveling with all the dogs and we hoped Sassy would teach them well. Perhaps one of the most memorable parts of our almost four months spent backpacking in Southeast Asia was experiencing the magic that is the sometimes overlooked island of Lombok, Indonesia. While Bali and the Gili Islands (which are technically part of Lombok, but are typically discussed independently) are often the mainstays for backpackers and vacation seekers alike, Lombok is a special slice of heaven whose less combed-over atmosphere lends a truly relaxing experience for all those willing to open its arms to it.

Sure, it is safer and cheaper to stay home…probably. But God made the whole world and you’ve only seen a little bit of it. I’ll bet there are even places in your own local area that you’ve wondered about or have meant to see but haven’t quite gotten to yet. You are not a cog in a wheel – you have a soul, and dreams, and curiosity. Let these quotes inspire you to take a little time and get out there! Egypt, as a Middle Eastern country, has gone through a lot of public unrest in the past couple of years (since late 2010), due to the popular uprising against the government of Hosni Mubarak. The tourist industry has suffered a lot due to these uncertainties. There is currently a couple of bad reports coming out of Egypt, relating to tourists being impacted. The best rule would be, to do various searches on the Internet relating to violence and uprisings in Egypt. You can also go to the British or American Governmental websites where the necessary travel alerts are posted. Your tour company will also inform you, if extra care should be taken.
