Are we there yet? Haven’t you heard these moans from the back seat over the years? If waiting to arrive tests the patience and boredom threshold of your troglodytes, imagine the ramp up to travel. So you understand the need for some, ahhhhhhh anticipatory gifts to ease their boredom, reduce the whines and give a hint of peace to Mom and Dad. I am sooooo glad to have come across your site. We bought an 1989 Southwind motor home. Motor runs well and has brand new tires. The insides look pretty good needing some walls replaced and some ceiling areas. I am a fairly handy type of person and can build simple projects…my dilemma is with the exterior… there are some breaks, cracks and uneven areas. It is some sort of smooth type of fiber material. I would like to replace this as it is really faded. The manufacturer is in North East Indiana and I have thought of making a trip to do a factory tour. Can you give me any advise about the exterior can it be replaced with different types of siding or repaired. I am a clueless old fart. Thank you for taking time to keep … Read more

Anyway, to update readers, On Sept. 2nd – as editor of Barf Stew – I posted in jest and in a ruse – the `idea’ that I had found a time-traveler in a picture from 1905. More specifically, I had found a `Punk-Mohawk’ Time-Traveler on a Banana Pier. The `idea’ post got good coverage for my upstart blog – and IMO for good reason as it was a `find’ of worthwhile `content’ – worth a view or talking about. I’ll have a link to this material at the bottom of this post on The AnomalyMan Listing.
I’m a nature lover. As proof, I’ve sustained injuries chasing the recycling truck down the alley on a slippery winters morning. I’m in a CSA to help support local small farmers and I buy organic milk. Vanning is where I’ll have to take a raincheck on natural resource preservation. At 10-15 … Read more

My daughter and son-in-law just purchased a vintage trailor. My daughter is having fun redecorating the interior. I’ve been researching vintage trailers in the hopes of building one (a teardrop) or perhaps restoring one. I enjoyed being introduced to the Boler trailer here. Congrats on your feature!
The next hour and a half was incredible. We walked, crawled, and shimmied through crevices and wide, gaping spaces in this other-worldly place. A pocket to keep track of small travel items like earplugs, eyeshade or an iPod. this is great information and thank you for posting it. i might want to re-locate to hawaii in a couple years but i’ve … Read more
Camping has once again become a very popular family activity. With the economic downturn, many families are choosing to purchase travel trailers as an alternative to pricey vacations staying in hotels. Sales of the large motor homes and fancy trailers are down. But the demand for travel trailers with all of the amenities yet lightweight enough to be pulled by the family car has increased significantly. The paneling above the surround will be painted with a water resistant paint which should do fine for the occasional weekend trips planned for the small camping unit. The walls and counter tops also would need recovering or replacing in the little motorhome.
Yes of course it is as cargo not in a cabin but in the same flight with you. Every airlines have its own regulations. You should have made the flight with your dog clear a few months ago. I’m really sorry to hear about that. So sorry! When we were cluelessly looking for a hotel, we decided to go with affordable, and found a three-star place in the centre of the city. Great! We could check out the nightlife and the local restaurants.

The most important factor we found that seemed to make it work was the relationship we have with our dogs that we’ve built over time. We take them on enough day trips to know their limits and we train them enough to know what to expect-and what is too much to expect. … Read more
Having lived in the Western United States my whole life, I have found the example of the European traveler to be quite informative. I believe that when Europeans travel to the United States they actually see more of the country than we residents do. Go to the South Rim of the Calm Lands, south again, then west a room or two and south past a disagreeable sentry until you wind up in Macalania Forest. If the shimmery path into the sky is there, take that – it’s a handy shortcut, and the primer is hidden right before it rejoins the main path on the ground. If the shimmery path is NOT there, then grind your way through Macalania Forest on the ground (passing butterflies and such) until you hit another save sphere, and it’s just past that in a hidden niche to the right.
