As the AnomalyMan on Squidoo/HubPages, I’d like to welcome you to my original URL page on this platform. At that time (in 2006) this page was called Anomalies, ParaNormal and Mind Perceptions – and featured three or four `anomalous’ links for readers to browse daily. Indeed, this was one of Squidoo’s original most popular pages. And, Anomalies, ParaNormal and Mind Perceptions carried on in that manner for a number of years and spawned a number of similar pages started by myself. (Look for the anomalous creature logo.) However eventually, I moved most of my daily blogging to the platform. But, I still wanted to do something special with my original page on Squidoo/HubPages – something that would do the AnomalyMan URL name proud. As you can see, there are advantages and disadvantages to both solo and group travel. As I mentioned before, a lot of it really depends on your personality. Think of how you are in your everyday life—would you rather be alone or within a group? Do you value your solo time, or do you prefer to be in the company of others? It might not seem like a big deal, but if you’re traveling for any length of time, it could mean the difference between an enjoyable, memorable vacation, or a miserable trip.
Great info! My boyfriend’s mom is filipino and lived in the Philippines until about 25 years ago. She often speaks of going back someday. Her grown daughter is still over there, too. I would like to meet her someday. Perhaps we will bring our little dog, looks the same size as yours, and use your great tips, and all go re-unite with each other over there! Well-written and voted up!
Do watch out for activities that are advised against for people with back pain or disc problems. It is often in the small print so be careful. Ask in advance of booking trips how long you will be sat in a coach or car so you can plan accordingly. If it helps you take a lumbar support or small pillow with you to make you more comfortable.

Being away most of the year in Istanbul, it’s easy to forget all that Canada offers. Especially since I grew up in Ontario, I recognized that there was much I grew up with and didn’t necessarily appreciate in the past. What I had seen before, years ago, failed to have the same impact that I felt this summer.
Just a quick question though, were you charged customs fee and local handling for bringing Angus to the Philippines? I’ve just received a quote from a pet relocation company here in the UK and they told me the customs charge + handling will be at around £400-500 and this I have to pay in Manila when my Labrador arrives. Just like Angus, my lovely labrador is like my own son. I just can’t digest the idea that I’d need to pay customs for my pet who’s considered as my family. Hope you can share some more info about this.
