Thinking of moving into an RV? If so, there are nine basic things you need to know before you make the leap from standard living to motor home or camper living. I purchased a new Kindle Paperwhite to take with me on an international trip and it was one of the best travel gifts I ever bought for myself. It’s small and lightweight – lighter and more comfortable to hold than a paperback – and you can read one-handed. And a single charge can last up to eight weeks, depending on usage. This model features better contrast, a new Page Flip feature, a processor that’s 25% faster. I loaded mine up with books before our trip and was able to read comfortably even in bright sunlight on the beach during the extra days we stayed in Jamaica as a vacation. I kept it in my purse and was able to choose from a wide selection of books whenever and wherever I wanted to. Even my father-in-law, who loves reading but hates technology, has fallen in love with the Kindle Paperwhite that my mother-in-law gave him last Christmas. And my twenty-something nephew loves his just as much.

South of Bar Harbor, you’ll find quaint coastal towns like Bath, as well as the largest city in all of Maine, Portland. The best route through southern Maine and into New Hampshire and Mass is I-95 , which will bypass much of the congestion of the coastal route.
The most important factor we found that seemed to make it work was the relationship we have with our dogs that we’ve built over time. We take them on enough day trips to know their limits and we train them enough to know what to expect-and what is too much to expect. … Read more
Camping has once again become a very popular family activity. With the economic downturn, many families are choosing to purchase travel trailers as an alternative to pricey vacations staying in hotels. Sales of the large motor homes and fancy trailers are down. But the demand for travel trailers with all of the amenities yet lightweight enough to be pulled by the family car has increased significantly. This thin plywood is great for bending into the correct shape which many RVs use for the interior ceilings and walls. It paints or stains great too. With the AC and stove/sink cabinet removed, we started out by replacing the wooden corner braces which the luan/Styrofoam panels were attached for strength and stability.
Some medications cannot be filled early due to doctor restrictions. Your doctor may not provide you with another order, or refill, until you are within a few days of running out. This is sometimes the case with pain medications. Although they may be considered light weight, these trailers are much heavier than the trailers mentioned above. The towing capacity will need to be thoroughly checked for pulling the larger trailers.

The truth is, many bloggers have had a month or more head start as far as the voting goes, so I’m trying to claw my way into the fight. If you’ve got a moment, I’d love it if you could cast a vote in my direction. I can assure you (and Kerala Tourism wink wink) that, if selected, I won’t let you down. As many of you know, I’m always trying to learn, better myself, and find new opportunities, and this is the newest venture I’m chasing! So, what I’m saying is, help me out! Thanks in advance, you wondrous person. I was still quite full from dinner, but the trout looked so delicious I grabbed a pair of chopsticks and joined in with the rest of the group in devouring our catch. Barbados, Cayman Islands and St. Lucia receive an average of seven inches of rain, which makes them unattractive destinations for either long-term stays or Caribbean cruises.
Rons Benroy looks good to me. Some of these are so cute. I never knew people collected vintage trailers and had no idea what a teardrop was. I believe it could be done, SS. Be careful to not jack the walls … Read more

Let me introduce the three stars of this story. From left to right: Louie (The Toothpick) Cujo, Sassy(The Diva) Sassafras and Crazy Boy Champ (The Chewin’ Chihuahua). Louie and Champ are three years old and experiencing their first road trip ever. Sassy is 13 years old and a world traveler who belongs to my travel buddy, Martha. This would be the first time traveling with all the dogs and we hoped Sassy would teach them well. Great hub, but I am sure it was hard to come up with only six. I lived in the Four Corners region for 10 years and had some of the best country available as my playground. David, we beefed up the roof with angle iron as it had sagged where the AC was, but we didn’t have remove the unit, just the ceiling assembly.
This is a WONDERFUL hub! i am in college now and hoping to study abroad at least once in the next few years, but still being able to graduate on time and without being thousands of dollars in debt! Recreational Vehicle travel is the stuff dreams are made of, but those fantasies cannot become realities unless you do your homework. People often get tattoos to represent times, places and events that mean something to them. These kind of travel-themed tattoos remind people of time spent elsewhere, things they experienced, people they met etc. and are a way of holding onto the memories. They can also be used to represent your travelling hopes and dreams for the future. Sorry about your weather there, it was in the upper 90’s here in southern Georgia today! Too bad we cannot trade a little of our air temp! LOL! One good thing I can say about Cebu Island (and most likely the Philippines in general) is that taxis are super cheap. We paid about $5 US for an hour long taxi ride from our slum hellhouse to the 5-star hotel on the beach.
That is great Arianne. I think they still need it. We had to show in Manila airport the passport and vacanation health passport to the office of the Bureau of Animals if Angus had done all his vacanation test. Yes, indeed and I am glad I have written this hub. Thanks colorfulone. Happy weekend!

The next thing that can increase risk on a road trip is dehydration. Many people worry about bathroom breaks while driving. They worry about restroom availability, cleanliness, and time used for the bathroom break. To decrease the need to urinate, people will often drink less while taking long car trips. This increases the risk of a potentially fatal blood clot. Make sure that you are drinking while you are driving. Avoid drinks that will irritate the bladder or are diuretics. Tea, coffee, and drinks with caffeine (soda) will all cause increased urination. This can contribute to dehydration and clots. It will also discourage you from drinking as you will get irritated about having to use the restroom frequently. Stick with water, Gatorade, Powerade, or Pedialyte.

Summer’s a wonderful time when people escape from the every day world and take a trip to new destinations, fresh scenes and experiences. These days, travelers find themselves loaded down with several different electronic gadgets to help them stay informed, entertained and in touch while on the road. Each gizmo has its own carrying case, attachments and wires which makes packing a nightmare. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was one small gadget a traveler could use for all their entertainment, tasks, and communication needs? Look no further—such a gizmo does exist. The device is called the iPod iTouch, by Apple. I had decided to use spray primer where possible (everywhere but the vinyl wallboard which I felt was too close to too many of the other non-paint surfaces such as the ceiling and windows. I also used plastic and cloth drop cloths over the rug and seating and paper to cover windows and other elements. This took about another 2 hours.
